Dunster Show competition winner collects her prize

The winner of the Tamlyns competition held at Dunster Show came into the auction rooms yesterday to receive her prize.

Claire Rawle, Tamlyns' antique auctioneer and TV antique expert, presented the hamper, which was full of produce from nearby Pyne's Butchers and Farmshop. The entrants had to guess the combined total of four auction lots previously sold at Tamlyns

The correct answers were:

  1.     Nuffield Tractor £850
  2.     Marcel Dyf Painting £14,000
  3.     Hedgehog food mould £1,150
  4.     Approx. 3.5 acres with three stables and a tack room at Brent Knoll £79,000

The total was £95,000. Miss Hooper made an extremely close guess of £94,000. Well done!

A second hamper was won at the Mid-Somerset Show by Mr Moore from Hindon, Wiltshire.
